Getting Close to Opening

No pictures yet! But we're loving how the new store is coming together and we can't wait to share it with you all.

The shelving is half up. Installing it has been more time consuming than we originally expected but considering they need to be able to hold a good deal of weight, we're making sure they're installed correctly! New product is trickling in. Along with other exciting additions, did we mention that we're doubling our imported licorice selection?

We're finishing up the necessary details to get through inspections so expect an official opening date to be posted shortly.

We're Moving!

The Sugar Cube is thrilled to announce it is moving to 1218 King St.

Our new location will feature expanded gourmet selections and a dedicated party space for children's birthday parties. We hope you'll be as excited as we are about the new space.

We are so grateful for the support and enthusiasm of our customers throughout our 5 years on Lee St. It is your support that has made our success and this positive move forward possible.

We will be closing our 210 North Lee St. location on Friday, February 24th. We will update our website, blog, and Facebook with information regarding the opening of The Sugar Cube at 1218 King St as we navigate the final stages of the permitting process.

Seasonal Specialties Update

Ultra-thin ribbon candy is on its way. It will be arriving at The Sugar Cube on Friday, December 9th.

Sponge candy is here!  Local chocolate company, Fleurir Handgrown Chocolates, told us about their sponge and we knew we had to have it. We've been carrying sponge out of Wisconsin for years but working with Fleurir gives us another opportunity to support the local scene and fortunately, we think their sponge is even better! Unfortunately, this means sponge will only be available in dark chocolate. For you locals who have come to love our sponge in the past, stop in and try a sample of the new stuff. You won't be disappointed!

Chocolate-Covered Bacon has been ordered but due to high volume, we're in a holding pattern to receive it. We'll let you know immediately once (if) it arrives. In the meantime we do have a 3 bacon chocolate bars to choose from if you get desperate.

Lastly, a few updates on three companies we've loyally carried over the years.

Chocolaterie Wanders (truffles, bars, and seasonal items) and Bon Bon Bar (Scotch Bar, Bourbon Bar, caramels) have permanently closed.
